Based in London, United Kingdom, we are creating a platform where anyone can create, share, and engage with the world's best maths content—from theory articles and practice worksheets to intriguing puzzles and interactive tutorials. By providing tools like an intuitive editor, diagram libraries, and AI assistance, we're making content creation accessible to all and revolutionising how people learn and interact with mathematics.
Role Description
We are seeking a Co-Founder who is deeply passionate about mathematics education and excited about fostering a global community platform. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Founder to secure investments and steer the company's growth trajectory.
- Operational Influence: Engage in daily operations, shaping the strategic direction and expansion of Mathsy.io.
- Community Building: Lead initiatives to attract content creators, educators, and enthusiasts to enrich our platform.
- Technical Oversight: Contribute to resolving key technical challenges, including platform development and AI integration.
This opportunity may evolve into a full-time position as we secure funding or achieve self-sustainability. The ideal candidate is based in London and open to coordinating in-person meetings with the Founder (CEO).
Tech Stack
Typescript, React, Node.js, Next.js, AWS, Prisma.
Desired Requirements
- Passion for Mathematics Education: A strong commitment to improving maths learning and alignment with our mission.
- Startup Mentality: Ability to thrive in a startup environment and fully commit to the business.
- Relevant STEM Degree: Ideally in mathematics, physics, or computer science.
- Experience in Community Building: Proven ability to grow and nurture online communities or content platforms.
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with mathematical tools such as LaTeX, KaTeX, MathJax, TikZ, and Manim.
- Experience in the education or edtech sector.
- Knowledge of AI tools and integrations.
- Skills in user experience design and platform scalability.
