We’re developing a revolutionary ride-hailing platform, designed to take on Uber, Bolt, and the rest—starting in the UK and expanding globally. Our vision is ambitious: to create the first UK-based ride-hailing unicorn. If successful, you’ll have the chance to transition into a technical co-founder role, helping take the MVP to global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the ride-hailing platform MVP, including cross-platform mobile apps using React Native and a responsive web app using React.js.
- Architect and implement scalable backend services with Node.js (or Python/Django) and RESTful APIs.
- Build a profit-sharing module that rewards drivers based on their activity and monthly performance.
- Develop and manage the SaaS subscription system for drivers, including tiered pricing based on vehicle type and commission.
- Integrate payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal) to manage ride payments and subscriptions.
- Implement geolocation services via Google Maps API for real-time ride tracking and route optimization.
- Ensure robust user authentication and security protocols using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Frontend: Proven experience (2+ years) with React Native for mobile app development (iOS/Android) and React.js for web app development.
- Backend: Expertise in Node.js (or Python/Django) for backend services and building RESTful APIs.
- Experience building SaaS subscription platforms and integrating profit-sharing or loyalty programs.
- Strong familiarity with PostgreSQL and Redis for database management and caching.
- Hands-on experience with Stripe and PayPal for payment and subscription processing.
- Knowledge of Google Maps API and geolocation services.
- Strong security background with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and encryption.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in ride-hailing, mobility, or logistics platforms.
- Experience scaling MVPs into successful global platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for hosting and managing services.
